Developer Tiers
Developer Tiers let team leads and admins assign different spending and access levels to developers.
How tiers work
Section titled “How tiers work”Each developer is assigned to a tier that controls:
- Model access — which AI models they can use
- Budget limits — per-period spending caps
- Feature access — which governance features apply
Default tiers
Section titled “Default tiers”| Tier | Models | Daily budget | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Sonnet, Haiku | $10/day | Most developers |
| Power | Sonnet, Haiku, Opus | $25/day | Senior engineers, complex projects |
| Unlimited | All models | No cap | Tech leads, architecture work |
Assigning tiers
Section titled “Assigning tiers”From the dashboard:
- Navigate to Developers
- Select a developer from the list
- Choose their tier
- Save
Changes take effect on the developer’s next session.
Custom tiers
Section titled “Custom tiers”Create custom tiers for specific needs:
- Navigate to Developers → Manage Tiers
- Create a new tier
- Configure model access, budget, and features
- Assign developers
Cost optimization
Section titled “Cost optimization”The Developers page shows per-developer analytics:
- Token usage and cost
- PRISM scores
- Waste patterns
- Model usage breakdown
Use this data to identify developers who would benefit from:
- Moving to a lower tier (if overspending on simple tasks)
- Moving to a higher tier (if throttled by model restrictions)
- Targeted coaching (if PRISM scores are low)
